Jeané Lewin
Jeané lewin is a portrait artist who grew up in Strandfontein, Cape Town and currently resides in Strand.
“I’ve always had a passion for art and drawing growing up.”
After matriculation he began studying 3D animation but had to drop out due to family crisis and lack of funds. Covid-19 and isolation turned out to be the turning point when he decided to focus fully on his art and became fascinated by the subtle meaning, unpredictable nature of human behaviour, body language and facial expressions.
Jeané paints impulsively, using different techniques like drips and splashes and makes use of different mediums and tools which helps evoke a deeper meaning to his portraits and express the raw nature of humans.
